Details of  Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
On arrival in Kathmandu Airport, you would be met and received by our representative & transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kathamandu Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for city tour of Kathmandu visiting Durbar Square, complex of palaces, courtyard and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, use to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. In the afternoon visit the Swoyambunath Stupa and Patan City. Swoyambhunath Stupa, atop the hillock is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal enlisted in the World Heritage Site. Patan City is an enchanting melange of palace buildings, artistic courtyard and former palace complex. One remarkable monument here is a 16th century temple dedicated to the Hindu God Lord Krishna, built entirely of stone.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Kodari - Zhangmu
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Nepal-Tibet border (Kodari) by private vehicle (about 5 hours drive, due to the rough road condition). After clearing the customs you will be greeted by your Tibetan guide and driver when crossing the Friendship Bridge. After you complete all the custom formalities, your Tibetan guide will give you a brief information regarding the further trip and proceed the journey to Zhangmu (2300m).

Day 04: Zhangmu – Old Tingri
Drive along the Sino-Nepal Highway to Tingri via Lalung Le Pass (5050 m). Through a series of switchback bends the road ascent to Nyalam within the Matsang Tsangpo gorge, beautiful waterfalls can be seen on the both side of the road. You can stop to take some photos of the amazing scene of Himalaya and Gangdise Mountain range on the way.

Day 05: Old Tingri - Rongbuk Monastery
There is about 90km bumpy road from Tingri to Rongpuk. The road is under construction. From Tingri to E.B.C with the very rough road, pass the wild grassland, cross the rapids river and high mountains. If it is in clear weather, you can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which are 8000m high or more, that is, Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Everes (8848m), Mt. Qowowuyag (8201m), Mt. Mayalu (8463m).

Day 06: Rongphu Monastery-Evrest Base Camp-Lhatse
Early in the moring to see the sunrise from Rongphu, then to view Mt. Everest. It is fabulous and splendid. Then get on the local bus to Everest Base camp, taking about half of an hour (Or you also can trekking to the Base Camp, around 1.5-2 hours one way. It's interesting and much warmer, but hard to breath). Hiking up to the top of the photo point to take pictures of the splendid- Mt. Everest. Then in the afternoon go down from E.B.C back to Tingri by friend-ship highway, move on to Lhatse.

Day 07: Lhatse–Sakya - Shigatse
Drive from Lhatse to Sakya county where you can visit the famous Sakya monastery. The most interesting thing in Sakya sect is that the sect do not believe in reincarnation and the head of Sakya sect will wear white cassock and also marry to give birth their children. In the afternoon, drive to Shigatse to visit the famous Tashilhunpo Monastery where you can see the well preserved largest statue of Jampa (future god) in the world. The monastery itself is abiding place for the successive Penchen Lamas.

Day 08: Shigatse - Gyantse
Drive from Shigatse to Gyantse. The rest time is for exploring Gyantse and all places of interest around Gyantse like Gyantse Kumbum. Commissioned by a Gyantse prince in 1427, the Gyantse Kumbum is the town's foremost attraction. The 35m-high chörten, with its white layers trimmed with decorative stripes and its crown-like golden dome, is awe-inspiring. But the inside is no less impressive, and in what seems an endless series of tiny chapels you'll find painting after exquisite painting (kumbum means '100,000 images').

Day 09: Gyantse–Yamdrok Lake–Samding Monastery - Lhasa
Today, we will drive to visit the holy Lake Yamdrok-tso and Samding Monastery. We will cross the 4960m Karo-la with its awesome roadside views of the Nanchan- Kangtsang glacier before arriving the turquoise lake that is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and fed by numerous small streams. Situated on the southwest shore of Yamdrok Yumtso, the Samding Monastery is under the charge of the first female living Buddha in Tibet. The drive to Lhasa via pass Kangpa-la at 4700m.

Day10 : Lhasa sightseeing - Potala Palace/Tibet Museum/Jokhang Temple/Barkhor Street
In the morning, go to visit the famous Potala palace and explore the grandest of this myriad chapels, you will experience its audience halls, the jeweled and Golden burial chortens (stupa Tombs) of past Dalai Lamas, and tremendous number of Buddhist frescoes, thangkas, combinations of mandala, etc. Tibet Museum is an important window to introduce the glorious culture of Tibet, as a free Museum in Lhasa, you should not miss it. In the afternoon, pay a visit to the holist temple in Tibet, the Johkang Temple, built during Songtsen Gonpo's reign by princess Wencheng of Tang Dynasty, 647 A.D, and its famous Barkor Kora.

Day 11: Lhasa Sightseeing - Drepung Monastery/Sera Monastery
Today, you will visit two important monasteries in Lhasa, the Drepung and the Sera. Drepung monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. It was once home of 10000 monks and Ganden podrang in Drepung is famous for it was the government centre during the fifth dalai lama and later moved to the famous potala palace during the fifth dalai lama. After having lunch, continue to visit the Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa's disciple Jamchen Choeje. The most attractive is its Buddhist Scriptures debating held in the courtyard mostly around 6:00 - 7:30 in the afternoon.

Day 12 : Lhasa to Kathmandu by Flight
Airport transfer and flight to Kathmandu. On arrival pick up at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.
